The subcutaneous ivermectin injectable binds with specific channels in parasites, like the glutamate-gated chloride ion channels, making them vulnerable and permeable. This vulnerability causes paralysis and death of parasites. Cattle and swine may have a margin of safety because they do not have glutamate-gated chloride channels like invertebrates, making them less susceptible to the compounds in the ivermectin.
Ivermectin injectable effectively supports parasite removal and reinfestation of swine large roundworms, red stomach worms, and nodular worms, including adults and fourth-stage larvae, and aids in treating adult threadworms. Treat sows within seven days of farrowing to help support piglets.
The convenient one-dosage injection allows you to give the ivermectin with no splash-off, helping you administer the treatment effectively with low wastage.
