Kennel Cough can be caused by canine Parainfluenza and Bordetella bronchiseptica. This disease, which affects a dog's respiratory system, is very contagious. It can quickly spread in confined spaces like pet stores and kennels, which is how the disease got its name.
Solo-Jec® KC is an intranasal kennel cough vaccine that protects against the two major strains. The disease is often transmitted through airborne particles, which is why the vaccine is designed to stimulate immunity inside the nasal passage. By targeting the area where the disease process begins, it can provide rapid onset of immunity.
It can be given to healthy dogs 3 weeks of age and up. Puppies that receive the vaccine between 3 and 6 weeks of age should be revaccinated at 6 weeks and then annually.
